New Hope Artist Series
New Hope has a fascinating history as a social hub for the artist community, and Chez Odette was one of its most iconic stomping grounds. Setting out to pay homage to the fabric of our community and its unique heritage, River House at Odette’s is honoring this rich history with a monthly exhibition series as a continuation of our mission to celebrate the spirit of Odette and her talented neighbors.
Those who RSVP with their name and email before the event will receive a reduced parking rate of $10.

Join us as we honor the spirit of Odette, as well as New Hope’s highly acclaimed artists in celebration of culture and community. Members of the community and hotel guests are welcome to join the socially distanced celebration featuring a special “meet and greet” with Glossblack. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase works of art directly from the artist with a portion of the proceeds donated to New Hope Arts, a nonprofit regional arts center dedicated to furthering the heritage of New Hope as a vital art center.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Glossblack aka Jimmy McMenamin is a Philadelphia-based graffiti artist, a contemporary artist, and mural painter for hire. He currently focuses on large scale public artwork, with a strong concentration in typography, signage, and collage. He is also the man behind our infamous Founder’s Wall at ROOF.
He has painted a wide variety of establishments including; residential, local businesses, corporate offices, gyms/crossfits, daycares, schools, universities, breweries, roller skating rinks, etc. He has been commissioned by Gap, Comcast, The Philadelphia 76ers, Under Armour, Reebok, Puma, Lyft, NBAonTNT, Justin Bieber, Pabst, Redbull, Saks Fifth Ave, Bergdorf Goodman, Google and the list goes on.
Jimmy has a history of painting graffiti for many years which he considers the foundation to his artistic style and fine artwork.

The series continues with an exhibition event taking place Tuesday, July 20th, 2021, highlighting select works by watercolor and oil artist, Christine Seo, known for her works’ realism and confident approach.
